Training and Competence Management of 1stinrail Personnel |

1stinrail believe that the competence of its personnel is a fundamental aspect of its service delivery. We believe that the training and competence of personnel are key to project success. 1stinrail know that competence is a combination of skill, experience, training, and application. By monitoring, measuring, and recording the skills and capabilities of our workforce, we understand and manage the competence of our workforce and therefore ensure our success in all aspects of project delivery.
Competence 1stinrail have a fully documented Competence Management System which incorporates Safety Critical and Safety Related personnel working on London Underground and Network Rail’s infrastructure. The system ensures that:-
- All 1stinrail personnel are competent to carry out their duties.
- That we develop and maintain competence in line with current London Underground and Network Rail legislation.
- Those employees of other organisations working within our worksite hold the correct level of competency and certification.
- That we work together with customers and clients to review the current level of competence and explore specific areas for improvement.
Training. 1stinrail have our own Track Worker Training School, at Cody Road, London. The Training School includes Classroom Facilities and a Training Track.
In addition to our own purpose built and accredited training school we have developed a supply chain which incorporates competent training providers and use these to ensure that all certification and assessments are undertaken. These include:
- Controller of Site Safety.
- Entry Permit.
- Track Accustomed.
- Protection Master.
- Operated Plant.
- Personal Track Safety Training.
- Site Safety for Site Managers.
