Job Title: Hand Back Supervisor.
Reports To: Night Manager and Director.
Location: London, but may be required to work away.
Responsible For: General Operatives, Trackmen, Gangers and Foremen.
Role:-
Supervising the undertaking of track renewals or refurbishment in a safe and timely manner. Supervise team members in maintaining a clean and tidy worksite ensuring that all work is carried out to the required standards. Supervise General Operatives, Trackmen, Gangers and Foremen. Undertake on site competence assessments of 1stinrail personnel (staff and temporary workers) recording findings up to the line manager.

Experience: 36 months track working experience.

- Provide exceptional leadership by example to those working under your supervision.
- Make yourself familiar with, and understand 1stinrail’s Health and Safety policy and procedures and ensure that you comply with them at all times.
- Take all reasonable care for your health and safety and of that of others affected by your acts or omissions.
- Follow safe working practices and obey safety rules at all times and ensure that those under your control do the same.
- Correctly use and maintain the PPE provided to you and ensure that those under your control do the same.
- Report any accident, incident or dangerous occurrence in accordance with company and client procedures.
- Do not interfere with, or misuse, any equipment, facilities or materials.
- Ensure that all work areas remain tidy.
- Co-operate in all respects to provide a healthy and safe working environment.
- Keep vehicles, tools and equipment in good order and report any faults to your line manager.
- Know the location of fire points in the areas you are working and ensure that those under your control do the same.
- Know the fire drill and to ensure that fire points exist and are not obstructed and ensure that those under your control do the same.
- Know the location of first aid points in the area you are working.
- Attend for work promptly and properly equipped and ensure that those under your control do the same.
- Report any issues with the workforce in relation to discipline, timekeeping, attitude, workmanship, absenteeism etc. to your line manager. Ensure prompt and effective management of the same in accordance with 1stinrail procedure.
