Job Title: Trackman.

Reports To: Foreman and Supervisor.

Location: London, but may be required to work away.

Responsible For: General Operatives

Role:

Undertaking materials handling and carrying out track renewals or refurbishment.
Assisting team members in maintaining a clean and tidy worksite.
Supervising General Operatives.

Skills:

• Entry Permit
• Manual handling
• Small hand tools
• 110v tools
• Pneumatic tools
• Track trolley
• TOPS skills as listed in the Competence Matrix

Knowledge:

• COSHH aware
• CDM aware
• HAV aware
• Noise aware

Experience: 6 months track working experience.

• Follow safe working practices and obey safety rules at all times.

• Report any accident, incident or dangerous occurrence to your line manager in accordance with company and client procedures.
• Do not interfere with, or misuse, any equipment, facilities or materials.
• Maintain a tidy work area at all times.
• Co-operate in all respects to provide a healthy and safe working environment.
• Keep vehicles, tools and equipment in good order and report any faults to your line manager.
• Know the location of fire points in the areas you are working.
• Know the fire drill and to ensure that fire points exist and are not obstructed.
• Know the location of first aid points in the area you are working.
• Attend for work promptly and properly equipped.
